Since first training in general medicine, I have now been a consultant haematologist for over 33 years. I have particular interests in blood clotting disorders (bleeding and thrombosis), general haematology; e.g. anaemia, low or high white blood cell counts, low or high platelet counts, iron overload syndromes (e.g. haemochromatosis, evaluation of enlarged lymph nodes) as well as myeloproliferative bone marrow disorders  (e.g. polycythaemia, chronic myeloid leukaemia) and lymphoproliferative diseases (e.g. chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, low grade lymphomas). I have served as the secretary to the National British Committee on Standards in Haematology Task Force in Haemato-Oncology and as the Clinical Lead for Blood Sciences for Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. I am a past examiner for the Royal College of Pathologists.

I hold a weekly private haematology clinic at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital on Wednesday afternoons. In addition, I offer video and telephone consultations where this is appropriate. I am recognised by all the major insurance companies. I am a BUPA ‘platinum’ fee-assured consultant, and I also see self-funding individuals.
