Profile

I’m Charlotte Church, Lead Physiotherapist for the Chelsea Wing with over 10 years of physiotherapy experience. I graduated with an MSc in Belgium in 2014. After completing my studies, I began my career in the NHS, where I worked for a year before moving to the private healthcare sector in London. Over the years, I’ve gained extensive experience working with a diverse range of inpatients and outpatients settings, specialising in complex surgical patients and intensive care.

In addition to my clinical experience, I pursued higher education training in Cardio-Respiratory at University College London (UCL). In 2021, I joined Chelsea and Westminster Hospital as a Band 7 Respiratory Team Lead at West Middlesex site before moving to Chelsea Wing Private Patients in 2023.

In my current role, I am responsible for developing the Private Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy inpatient services for private in-patients as well as developing new services to benefit our local patient population in adult medicine.

I am passionate about care of the elderly and service improvement. I am involved in Research and Quality improvement within the Trust with a focus on improving and maintaining patient’s independence and mobility.

In 2024, I was honoured with the AHP PROUD award for my dedication to advancing patient care from the executive team of the hospital. I come from an international background where languages have always been central to my upbringing, French being my native language. Additionally, I have studied Arabic at King’s College London and can manage patient treatment without the need for an interpreter.
