Profile

I am a Consultant Urological Surgeon with a special interest in Andrology and Sexual medicine, gender Dysphoria and infertility. My main Role within the NHS is in the Gender Affirmation Surgery Team and the Urology team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. I am also the Medical Lead for Andrology of the Psychosexual Team at King’s College Hospital. I run a weekly clinic for private insured and self-funded patients at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Private Care for national and international patients.

I completed my medical training at the University of Trieste and my specialist training in Verona, both in Italy, obtaining first class honours. I then went on to study for my Master in Andrological Surgery and gender disorder Surgery, obtaining first class honours in this qualification too. I had additional training in psychosexual medicine within the Institute of Psychosexual Medicine based in London.

In the UK I worked as a senior clinical fellow at King’s College Hospital, then as a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Croydon University Hospital, Milton Keynes University Hospital and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. In each of these hospital I was involved in the care of patients with problems related to General urology and Andrology. Recently I started a new role dedicating part of my time to Gender Affirmation Surgery, too.

My clinic is open to all patients -with or without referral- suffering from general urological conditions (Urinary infections, urinary symptoms, and prostate related problems), andrological problems (erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, penile bending, vasectomy) or related to male infertility. I also offer diagnosis and treatment of bladder cancer (superficial), testicular cancer and advanced diagnostic techniques of prostate cancer (Prostate Biopsies).

I have been author and co-author of several scientific publication in international journals and I contributed as co-author in prestigious books edited by Springer.

I contributed to national and international research projects and audits.

I am a passionate teacher for undergraduate and postgraduate students, and I have been involved in higher medical education as an Educational Supervisor during my time at MKUH.
