Charlotte was appointed as the labour ward and maternity governance lead consultant at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in 2012.

Throughout her career she has been focused on improving safety for mothers and babies.

She has a diploma in Clinical Risk Management and Claims from Capsticks law firm.

After leading the maternity governance team for ten years she is now the Clinical Director for all Patient Safety at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Her attention to detail and priority for safe care remain foremost in all her work.

Her other passion is supporting women who are dealing with mental health challenges. She is the clinical lead for the perinatal mental health service at Chelsea and Westminster.

Charlotte believes that listening is key, and that every woman and their partner have a unique story and journey that brings them to her. She focuses on taking time to create individualised supportive care which enables informed joint decision making, to bring the safest outcomes and most wonderful birth experiences.
