Mr Ng Man Sun is a Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery with a specialist interest in Paediatric Surgery. He manages a wide range of non-spinal childhood conditions including paediatric trauma and sports injuries, complex foot disorders, clubfoot, childhood hip conditions, neuromuscular problems, and the correction of limb deformity.

He studied Medicine at University College London Medical School where he also gained a BSc. in Orthopaedic Science with First Class Honours from the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore. He undertook higher Orthopaedic Surgical Training on the Imperial North West London Training Programme. Following completion of training, he undertook a Paediatric Orthopaedic Fellowship at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital as well as the prestigious UK based Fred Dietz Clubfoot Fellowship.

Mr Ng Man Sun has gained experience in managing complex paediatric orthopaedic patients and trauma at several tertiary centres which include: the John Radcliffe Hospital (Major Trauma Centre), Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

His NHS post is at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, a regional tertiary referral centre for paediatric orthopaedics. He is the educational lead for orthopaedic specialist registrars and also regularly teaches junior doctors and medical students from Imperial College Medical School.

Mr Ng Man Sun’s current research interests are in clubfoot, hip dysplasia, and bone and joint infections.

When not at work, Stephen enjoys spending time with his young family and regularly plays
tennis.
