• Dental concerns - such as painful wisdom teeth, buried teeth and impacted teeth, dental implants, orthodontics and realignment work
• Jaw size, position and alignment concerns - which can impact on a patient’s bite and associated levels of function and comfort. Jaw issues can also impact on breathing and can be, for some patients, a significant factor in obstructive sleep apnoea (a condition whereby the patient stops breathing when asleep, wakes and then immediately falls back to sleep). Sleep apnoea is different to just "heavy snoring" and left undiagnosed and untreated can carry medical implications such as increased risk of stroke and heart attack.
